🩺 Medical
Your child’s health and wellbeing are always our top priority.
- Please notify the school before 8:30 am if your child will be absent.
- A sick child or one showing symptoms of illness may not attend school until fully recovered.
- If your child is taking antibiotics or other medication, please keep them at home — staff are not permitted to administer medicine. We are super strict with sick children as bugs pass very quickly with little ones.
- If your child had a fever, please make sure they are one day fever-free before returning to school.
- Please inform us immediately if your child has a contagious illness.
- We actively teach all children to wash their hands after using the bathroom, wiping their nose, and before eating.
✨ Health is happiness — together we can keep our school community strong and well.
🚫 Symptoms requiring removal of child from school:
Children will be sent home if they display any of the following:
Fever (37.8°C or higher) — child must be fever-free for 24 hours before returning.
Fever and symptoms such as sore throat, rash, vomiting, diarrhoea, earache, or irritability.
Diarrhoea: runny, watery, or bloody stools, or more than two loose stools within four hours.
Vomiting: two or more times in 24 hours (children who vomit overnight should stay home).
Continuous coughing, breathing difficulties, or sore throat.
Runny nose (other than clear mucus), red eyes, or excessive crying/irritability.
Scratching or rashes resembling contagious illnesses (e.g. lice, ringworm).
If unsure, please contact us before bringing your child. A doctor’s note may be required for return.
👕 Clothing
Children should wear comfortable clothing that they can put on and take off independently — encouraging self-confidence and reducing toilet accidents. We encourage clothes that can get a little messy from play, art, and exploration!
- Please label all clothing and shoes clearly.
- Provide a sun hat to be kept at school and sent home on Fridays.
- Always pack a spare set of clothing in your child’s bag.
- If your child wears nappies, please ensure sufficient nappies and wipes are packed daily.
- The school cannot be held responsible for misplaced or soiled items.
🧩 School equipment
If any school materials or Montessori items accidentally come home in pockets or bags, please return them promptly. These materials are valuable and part of complete learning sets.
📬 Notices
All-important school communication — including newsletters, invoices, receipts, invitations, and artwork — will be sent via your child’s locker or handed over by the teacher on Fridays.
Please check and clear your child’s locker weekly to stay up to date.
